Meet Your Pediatric Dentist in Boca Raton: Dr. Shelly Levin
Dr. Levin is a board-certified pediatric dentist in Boca Raton and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Her training and experience are focused on children, from a first tooth through the teen years, and she keeps learning so your family benefits from current pediatric care.

Parents get the same clarity. She walks you through what she sees, answers your questions, and gives you simple next steps for home. Her goal is for every child to leave feeling proud and comfortable about coming back.

Great experience for our boy and us. Very professional and punctual team at Big Tooth Boca. Our son is still excited and Dr. Levin made him so proud that he is still talking about his experience at the dentist. Thank you for having us!

Care for Every Age, From First Tooth to Teens
We welcome children from their first tooth through their teen years, and many families stay with us for well over a decade.
Babies and toddlers (0-3): Plan a first visit by your child’s first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth. We’ll talk through feeding, pacifiers, thumb-sucking, and brushing.
Children (4-11): As baby teeth give way to permanent ones, cleanings, sealants, and fluoride help keep cavities away.
Teens (12-17): Snacks, sports drinks, and busy schedules can take a toll on teeth. We keep teens on track with preventive care and straightforward advice.
What Happens at Your Child's First Visit
Complete your forms online before you arrive, so your time in the office is for your child. Dr. Levin will introduce herself, show your child the chair and tools, and explain each step in words kids understand.
The visit includes a gentle exam and cleaning, plus imaging only if your child needs it. Afterward, we go over what we found, answer your questions, and give you simple next steps for home. Parents are welcome to stay beside their child the whole time.
Preventive Dental Care for Growing Smiles
The best cavity is the one that never happens. Our Preventative Care visits include cleanings, exams, and brushing and diet guidance matched to your child’s age. When back molars come in, we can add dental sealants, thin protective coatings that shield the chewing surfaces.
If a cavity does form, silver diamine fluoride can help stop it from growing without drilling, which is especially useful for very young or anxious children. It can darken the treated spot, and we’ll explain that before we begin. Imaging lets us see between teeth and below the gum line, so we can catch problems early.
Dental Services at Big Tooth Boca

- Silver Diamine Fluoride: a painless way to help stop early cavities

Our goal is to make dental care a positive part of your child's routine while helping protect their smile as they grow.
Insurance and Membership Options
We accept dental insurance and are happy to file claims on your behalf. If you’re not sure what your plan covers, send us your insurance details and our team will help you understand your benefits before your child’s visit.
If your family doesn’t have dental insurance, ask us about our membership plan. It’s designed to make regular dental care simpler and more affordable for families who pay out of pocket.
Have questions about costs or coverage? Our team is glad to walk you through your options so you know what to expect before your visit. Reach out through our Contact Us page, and we’ll help you find the right fit.
Comfort Options: Nitrous Oxide and General Anesthesia
Most children do well with a patient, gentle approach. For those who need extra support, we offer two options.
Nitrous oxide sedation (“laughing gas”) is a mild gas your child breathes through a small mask. It helps them relax while staying awake, and it wears off shortly after the mask is removed.
General anesthesia is for children who need extensive treatment, can’t safely stay still, or have special health needs.
Dr. Levin will help you choose the option that fits your child’s age, health, and treatment.
